Here’s what you need to know before attending:

  • Students must show their O.W.L. Camp acceptance letter or email to receive one free sheet of sublimation paper. Any additional prints will incur a fee.
  • Guardians only need to sign up once per child using the child’s name.
  • County Library Create spaces will have the artwork pre-printed and on file.
  • Shirts must be white or light-colored. Dark colored shirts will not work.
  • Shirts must be polyester or cotton-poly (60-100% blend). 100% cotton shirts will NOT accept sublimation.
  • If you cannot attend a scheduled meetup, you may make an appointment to visit a County Library Create space on your own time. Create spaces with sublimation equipment are located at Daybreak, Granite, Kearns, Sandy, and Holladay. Please call 801.943.4636 to schedule an appointment. Be sure to mention that you are an O.W.L. Camp student and bring your acceptance letter or email at the time of your appointment.

* What is sublimation?

Sublimation is a type of ink transfer that first involves printing an image onto a special type of paper, then transferring that image into the surface of a polyester or polymer-coated object using a heat press. The application of heat and pressure simultaneously forces the polyester or polymer surface to absorb into the surface of the object.
