Building Updates
The County Library is always striving to improve our facilities and services for all county residents, and we're very excited about upcoming improvements. Our new library building projects—designs for dramatic renovations to some of the existing libraries and plans for continued refinements to our technological resources—will provide patrons with the most up-to-date technologies and improved service.
Current Projects
There are no County Library branches currently closed, under renovation, or being constructed. Please check back in the future for any new projects.

Granite Branch - Opened June 2022
3331 South 500 East in South Salt LakeIn 2020, we broke ground on the Granite branch, a 33,000 square-foot library in South Salt Lake, located at the corner of 3300 South and 500 East. The Granite branch is built on the site of the old Granite High School, which was closed in 2009. Community feedback was instrumental in the design and planned services of the Granite branch, which focuses on preserving the history and community of the neighborhood.
Daybreak Branch, Opened April 2022
11358 Grandville Ave in DaybreakIn 2019, we broke ground on the Daybreak branch, a 28,000 square-foot library located in South Jordan at 11358 Grandville Avenue. In planning meetings, residents requested an energized spot for the community to gather. The branch is located on the TRAX Red Line for easy access. The branch also serves as community green space, with landscaped paths leading to a rooftop terrace.
